French-Inspired Kitchens | Monday Decor Ideas

We spent some time house hunting yesterday and came across one house that had the most beautiful French-inspired kitchen. Really well done with a lot of attention to detail: white crockery, glass fronted doors, slightly vintage-styled white wooden cabinets, a butcher’s sink and lots of light airy space…

There’s a lot you can do to transform your kitchen into a French-styled space: a coat of white paint, vintage door handles on your cabinets, strategically placed wooden shelves displaying great knicknacks, wooden detail, open shelves displaying your crockery and even some vintage wallpaper 🙂 Today’s post on The Good Girls Guide is all dedicated to beautiful French kitchens – be inspired and share your inspiration!

Our Journey: Moving on Up…

The move has begun! My husband and I have sold our flat, packed our boxes and have moved out…and in with my parents! While we look for our perfect home, my fantastic family is putting up with all our bits and bobs – it’s truly remarkable how much stuff you can fit into a two-bedroom apartment. After having no qualms in saving money and doing the move ourselves, I can quite happily say that I’m hiring a big truck to move everything the next time round; exhaustion has set in!

From camping equipment to 5 bicycles (yes, 5); from suddenly found wedding presents in the back of the cupboard to way more clothes that we’ll ever need – it’s certainly been quite a process. But it’s all part of starting the next phase of our journey: finding and buying our new house, getting stuck in with DIY and decor ideas, and making it our home…

Will keep you updated on our next moves! 🙂
